ONLINE COURSE: Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Education (K-12)

This interactive online survey course covers the full range of critical topics related to Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs education, prevention and intervention. Designed for adults who work with children or family systems and for educators (grades pre K-12 as well as higher education), the content of the course includes: pharmacology, chemical use continuum, chemical dependency in the family, societal and personal attitudes, policy and legal issues, support and referral for students in distress, curriculum development, school climate and drinking and driving.
This course does not require you to log on at specific times. You may log on at any time to participate. There are, however, periodic assignments with deadlines.

The cost is $150.00 non-credit. There is an additional charge of $250 for one academic credit from the University of Vermont.
