Learning Objectives:
To illustrate the value of advocacy and networking within the SPF-SIG process
To review an advocacy model from the state of VT
To review the results of the statewide SPF-SIG networking survey

Description:
As we move forward with our individual SPFSIG agendas it becomes increasingly important that we send a unified message to key stakeholders. Patty McCarthy, Executive Director of Friends of Recovery Vermont and Vice President of Vermont Drug and Alcohol Coalition will illustrate the importance of such forethought and the successes that follow via an existing Vermont advocacy model. We will also review the results of the statewide networking survey in the hopes that we can become more accessible resources for one another.

Cost: These trainings, by invitation only, are funded through grants from the Vermont Department of Health.
Participant materials, continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles in order to save on consumables. Prevention Consultants, please bring easels.

Snow date: December 10-11

Registration: Upon registration, participants will receive an email confirmation immediately. Final confirmations with directions to the training site will be sent via email within one week of training date.
