ADAP Prevention Training

Addiction 101

DESCRIPTION
This is a brief look into the world of addiction. Through a variety of interactive methods participants will have the chance to investigate their perceptions about substance abuse. Participants will become more familiar with the numerous drugs available; understand routes of administration, classes of drugs and become familiar with types of addictions and the treatments available in Vermont. No training would be complete without a working understanding of the brain, in particular the differences between the adolescent brain and adulthood.

This training is designed for the beginner, who wants a better understanding of the continuum of care.
