Positive Youth Development and Substance Abuse Prevention

Under a grant from the VT Dpt of Health, Division of Alcohol & Drug Abuse Programs

Youth Development can perhaps best be viewed as a Professional Lifestyle approach to working with youth. Not only can it inform how we work with youth, but should impact our very views on the role that youth play in our communities. This workshop will provide an overview of key elements of the Youth Development approach, designed to help us shift our focus toward a more positive and inclusive way of viewing the youth we encounter in both our professional and personal lives.
