Meeting Facilitation

DESCRIPTION

CEUs: VADACB 6 hours

Powerful Strategies For Facilitating Productive, Professional and Positive Meetings, Committees and Task Forces

Participants will have time to apply concepts and strategies discussed during this session to their particular facilitation responsibilities and challenges. During this engaging and fun seminar, we will:

1) Describe, discuss and experience key facilitation strategies that encourage groups to do their best thinking out loud resulting in decisions which are understood by all and committed to by each group member.

2) We will describe and practice a number of facilitation strategies that increases active participant engagement, and reduces status /positional differences.

3) We will generate concrete strategies to prevent and respond to common but complex facilitation challenges such as one person dominating, lack of focus/follow-up, side conversations, low participation, and resolving conflict.

4) We will describe and apply an agenda building process that results in productive and satisfying meetings.
