LifeSkills Training Refresher
|
Research-Validated for Reducing the Risks of Alcohol, Tobacco, Drug Abuse, and Violence.
|
Description
This one-day refresher is for teachers who have been implementing the LST curriculum and are finding themselves in an “implementation dip.” The training will also be helpful for coordinators or others who provide classroom support for the implementation of the curriculum.
This workshop aims to revitalize the use of the curriculum with students and make it more interactive and engaging while maintaining fidelity to the program.
There will be an opportunity to review all the lessons and to model interactive techniques as well as a chance for participants to try out their own ideas and determine whether they fit within the program guidelines. For example, teachers might want to revisit use of the workbook and learn ways to augment the use of the material through interactive small group activities. Teachers will explore different techniques that they can use and combine according to the needs of their students
