Fulfills Act 51 Requirements

This interactive training covers: pharmacology, chemical use continuum, chemical dependency in the family, societal and personal attitudes, policy and legal issues, support and referral for students in distress, curriculum development, school climate and drinking and driving. The focus will be on the elementary grades.
Trainer: Debby Haskins holds a a master’s in counseling from the University of Vermont. She is a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. She has 12-15 years as a cadre member and trainer. Her specialty areas for ATOD include school policy, pharmacology, chemical dependency and the family. She is currently the Executive Director of the Association of Student Assistance Professionals of VT (ASAP).

- Early Registration (Registration prior to two weeks of the training) $150, includes training, lunch, snacks, and materials.
- For late registration (within 2 weeks of training) add $10.

Cancellation/Refund Schedule If a participant cancels…................the refund is: more than 10 days prior to a training…......100% 10 days – 2 days prior to the training…..... 50% 1 day prior to the training/ no-show…....... 0%
The Center for Health and Learning reserves the right to cancel trainings. If a training is cancelled due to inclement weather, it will be held on a pre-determined snow date. If a participant is unable to attend on the snow date, 100% of the fee will be refunded.
