Power of Choice: Helping Youth Make Healthy Eating and Fitness Decisions
All participants will receive a copy of the Leader’s Guide and supplemental materials. (The first 10 representatives signing up and attending this training will receive $200 for their school or after-school program.)Although originally designed for after-school programs, Power of Choice fits well into school-based, middle grades curriculum. Everything an educator/facilitator needs to know is in the Leaders’ Guide. It’s full of quick, simple things to do with kids; many activities take little or no pre-planning. Included in the Leader’s Guide are a recipe booklet, parent letter, and Nutrition Facts cards. To learn more about Power of Choice, go to http://www.fns.usda.gov/tn/Resources/power_of_choice.html.
