Energizing the Implementation of Research-Based Curricula

Have you been trained in a research-based curricula and want to get onboard with effective assessment? Participants will explore the use of assessment to enhance student understanding and skill development while reinforcing the use of the curricula. Participants will identify assessment opportunities in the curricula lessons, utilize assessments from the national Health Education Assessment Project and plan for effective instruction. This training is well suited for teachers K-12 who have been using or are beginning to use such curricula as Know Your Body, Life Skills Training, Positive Prevention, etc. It is especially well suited for veteran and new research-based curricula implementers who are experiencing “implementation dip” or who want to better infuse current approaches for effective health education assessment.
